This year was our first family vacation. We went to Panama City Beach for five days. I have to say I can not be more pleased on how this vacation turned out. Normally I don't care for long trips due to the fact, the cost and after three or four days I'm ready to go home. Well, I was sick of the water after two days but I still had a great time. The kids played all day everyday and my parents were there to help out. This was also Hannah and Kendall's first trip to the ocean. Kendall loved the beach and wanting to swim(I mean be carried) out really far but Hannah was a little scared of it. At the pool it was the opposite. Kendall was a little timid at first and Hannah took off like a fish. The weather was perfect. It only rained for twenty minutes one day the whole time. The Hotel was great, probably the best one on the strip. We plan on going again next year with the whole family.(Jerimy and Papa)

Birthday
Last week I turned 28. Getting closer to the big 3-0! We had it at my parents house this year and had the best ribs in town. Slick Pig! We also played cornhole and got my mom to play. She actually quite good. No fireworks this year, the kids played with sparklers. We found out that Kendall is a little pyro. She burnt the hair off the back of my leg with one. The next day we hosted the fight at our house. The usual gang showed up. All in all it was a good weekend.

Ladder Golf
The first time I played this was at Papa's birthday. Hannah and I enjoyed it so much we decided to make our own. 1/2 inch PVC, cheap pack of golf balls, and some nylon rope, and that's it. About 20 bucks total. Oh, Kerri and I started to break in the Cornhole boards today and those things are slick! The bags were like hockey pucks shooting off the boards. Hopefully after a few weekends of play they will slow down.

Cornhole Boards are Finished!
I finished my cornhole boards last night. These are ACA(American Cornhole Association) regulation boards that measure 2' wide, 4' long and using a 2x4 frame. The back is 12" off the ground and the front is 4" from the ground.(wow I'm a dork) I'm pretty happy how they turned out and I even made the legs where they fold up instead of having to take them on and off. Now I have to finish sewing the bags and we will be good to go.

The New Slip 'n Slide
Kerri thought the girls needed a new slip'n slide so we went to walmart and came back with this. Oh and I did cut my grass afterwards because in the pics it looks awful.

Our First Rose
Our landscaping has always been an ongoing process. We've changed the front of the house several times and nothing ever turns out like we had hoped. Last year I put in a pond and some plants around it and so far that has been going ok. This year at work I have spent a lot of time outside. We have a lady(inmate) who's job is to take care of the flowers on the compound and in the middle of the yard there is a nice center piece with a rose bush in it. I thought it was the most beautiful rose bush I had ever seen. She told me they are not hard to take care of as long as they get lots of sunlight. I thought well sure my mother has had one for at least 25 years and my father hasn't killed it yet. So they must be tough. Well we bought two of them at Lowe's and planted then in the back yard. It has been two weeks and we have our first rose. So we are planting at least two more in the front. Also if anyone knows of any other flowering shrub that they think is nice please let me know. We are trying to add some color to the front of the house. Here is a pic I took this morning.

Random Update
Ok, a little update on what's been going on. I know I need to get better at this. Everyone is doing great. Hannah had a birthday last week and today was her last day of school. Kendall is now staying with my mom so we can save money on daycare. Yes!! Kerri was having frequent headaches so she had a MRI done and everything came back normal. I start my new post June 1st. My new days off will be Fri. and Sat. Those are still good days off considering some people ended up with days off in the middle of the week. So it will be a while before I can go back to church. Here are a few pics of Hannah's B-Day and other things such as Kendall at the zoo with my parents. Well I hope everyone has a good weekend. Oh by the way Jenny, I'm trying to get the second week in July off I think it is the 7th through the 11th so maybe we can plan a trip to come up. You and Kerri can work it out when I find out for sure.

Jerimy turns 26
Today we celebrated Jerimy's 26th birthday (it's actually the 22nd of April). Which means I'm getting closer to 30(ugh). Everyone is on a healthy diet so I baked fish and grilled some chicken. Which is weired because we're used to the hamburgers, hot dogs, and ribs. Everyone had a good time sitting around the table and talking, telling new stories and some old ones. Well bro another one come and gone. Hope you have a good birthday.

Snow Day
Well, I finally got to use a snow day today. It started last night around nine. When I got up for work there was snow and ice everywhere. Old Nashville highway was a sheet of ice. I made it to I-24 and that was in bad shape as well. So after being on the road almost an hour and sliding off the road I called it quits. I felt bad calling in because I rarely do it unless it's a emergency. When I told my Lt. I wasn't coming I felt sick to my stomach. I felt like I let him down. So, for everyone stuck at work I'm sorry. I know some of them have been there since two o'clock yesterday.

OK....Time for an update
I've been so busy lately I haven't thought about posting anything new. Well, lets see, we finished the hallway with new trim and paint color. We started Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover. (for real this time) Kendall had a birthday. I gave up on learning-playing the guitar. I guess I don't have the passion for it anymore. I bought a new gun. Well, I traded the guitars for it. Hannah had a tooth pulled that was rotting. Kendall is sick today. Oh, and I started working out again and eating less. I've lost 8 pounds so far. My goal weight is around 205. Kerri got a new cell phone and thinks texting me every five minutes makes her cool. It does not. I just bought a new battery for the camera so I can take pictures now. I guess thought about sums it up. Take care everyone. Oh, and please excuse the mess in all the pictures. I just took them and I was in the middle of cleaning the house when I decided to take a break and do this. Especially the kitchen table.
