Sunday School Cookout

This past Friday we had our Sunday school cookout at our house. We had a good turn out and had a great time. This is something we try to do once a month at someone's house. Each time it is a different theme such as Mexican, Asian, Redneck, and etc. Since it was our turn to host, I chose Redneck style. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs. You really can't go wrong with this and everyone enjoys a burger and dog on the grill. Once again we were too busy having fun to take pictures. I will try to do better in this area. I enjoy these little gatherings mainly for the fellowship. In my busy work schedule and trying to maintain family life it's hard to keep in touch with your friends on a daily basis. Plus it helps keep me in line being around good Christian people. I do have a tendency to stray from the right path from time to time. Well someone did manage to take one picture. Our friends Dale and Kara. Which will be hosting the next outing. Anyway, I can't wait for the next one. It's kind of refreshing to get away from the real world and just have some fun. Even it's for a few hours.

A Wonderful Day on the Golf Course

Well, yesterday my father-in-law, brother-in-law, the sunday school director from church, and I played a round of golf here in Smyrna. Now despite the fact that I had been working all night , the temperature getting up to around 90 degrees, and playing the worst game I think I've ever had, I had a lot of fun. Mostly this time I enjoyed watching. My brother-in-law Spencer, can really play. This guy is amazing. Our Sunday School director Bob, a great player as well. He used an iron all day to tee off and still hit the ball further than me. My father-in-law Leonard, you gotta love this guy's signature backswing. I wish I had brought my camera to snap a few pics here and there because there were a lot of great shots through out the day. Hopefully we'll get to play again sometime soon.
